Day 1 results!

We went up to the windmills the other day and got some filming done. I'm really happy with how the shots look, they have the perfect moody, atmospheric look and the whole scenery adds to the emotion of the shot. The weather was just right, it was really cold and windy so the Windmills were working really well - again helping to create the look by helping show how windy it really was up there. These shots aren't for any performing, they are just shots to show how unhappy she is and just general life. We will be using other locations for the performance shots.

Here are a couple of screengrabs from different angles of Chloe walking along the path - looking very alone and cold and just genrally unhappy.

This shot was a bit of improvising. Gaynor noticed the sun setting behind one of the hills in the distance and it looked quite effective. It actually looks like the hill is on fire but no, it's just the sun. We did try one shot of just the hill, but it looked a little random and out of place so we filmed it over Chloe's shoulder.



Then my mum suggested going 10 minutes down the road from the Wind farm to another hill that looks all over Burnley. At the time we were shooting this, the sun was setting so it was getting quite dark and all the lights in town are on. Everyone else is getting on with their daily lives as she is alone and miserable, completely away from everything. Here are some of the shots we got;
